On January 7, 1997 while lying in
bed staring at the ceiling above, an idea was born: "I am going
to ride a motorcycle around the world." It is worth mentioning an
interesting detail: I had never traveled on a motorcycle before.
As a matter of fact, I did not even know how to ride one. But all this
was not to stop me.
Five months later I rode off for
two years and returned after five and a half. During this time, I logged over 111,000 miles
experienced 75 countries on all seven continents,
and had my name listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Sometimes I do things that other people
only dream of and some swear cannot be done. I believe that through hard
work all dreams can be achieved. I think my story confirms that anybody with
a steel determination can reach a chosen goal.
I was born and raised in Ptuj,
the oldest settlement in Slovenia. I studied biology, and hold degrees
in nursing and massage. For the last decade I've been working as a
journalist, photographer, and writer. My work appears worldwide.
Besides motorcycling, I adore sailing, skiing, dancing, golfing, playing tennis, diving,
and skydiving.
