One of the activities our Institute organizes are regular monthly meetings for convalescents with brain damage. Wether caused by head injuries or by stroke, the patients have to return to their environments and are trying really hard to re-create old life styles and adjust in accordance with their abilities.

They are experiencing significant amounts of demanding, distressing situations. Working in the groups offers help in the form of sharing experiences, advice, talking about the problems they share as well as discusing distrust and forejudgements being applied to them.

We invited Benko Pulko to participate in two meetings. Her presence was a motivation on it's own. Her enthusiasm is contagious. She shared her life philosophy, her stories full of courage and self-respect, healthy pride and the belief that it is always worthy to endeavor on your own life path, no matter how difficult and ponderous it may be.

We thank her dearly for her involvement and look forward to seeing her again.
